Guangzhou International Sports Arena, located in Luogang District, Guangzhou City, covers a total land area of 250,000m2. Supported by a multi-function venue available for up to 18,000 audiences and corresponding parking spaces, the arena is available to hold basketball, international ice hockey tournament and large-scale concerts.
The main venue has a total building area of up to 89,000m2. With a total consumption of about 8,000t steel and maximum span of 106m, the arena is recognized as a comprehensive sports performance arts venue that complies with NBA game standards and passes dual-layer inspection of NBA and AEG in South China. Totally, it is a quite complicated structure - spatial hyperbolic structure.
Guangzhou Zhonghong has undertaken 50% of the steel structure’s in-depth design, processing, manufacturing and field installation works.
